Income & expenditure
Beit Ariel is the oldest Messianic jewish congregation in South Africa and was constituted as a congregation over 18 years ago. We came into being because of the number of Jews believers who desired to continue worshipping and serving the G-d of Israel and His Son in an identifiably Jewish context. We continue to be a candlestick of witness to our people to this day!
However, we are not in a financially good position. The reason is not our expenses – the expenses are more or less the same every month, and our rent for the new venue is slightly lower than the previous one in Sea Point. The problem lies with our income.
Where we used to receive an income of around R20 000 – R25 000 each month 18 months ago, our income now is regularly around R15 000 or even lower (income from offerings in Sept 2012: R15 482). Please pray that the Lord will enable us to raise our monthly offerings in order for us to remain viable. To those who give free votive offerings, we ask that you would prayerfully consider being more consistent.
It is mystfiying in that as a body, we are growing in unity and the exeperience of joy and the presence of G-d in our midst. We have thoroughly enjoyed our season of the festivities of the High Holy Days. Yet, even as we perceive a breakthrough in these areas, over the past several months, our income has diminished to the extent that we have had to borrow from our reserves which is not a healthy sign.
We ask that you stand with us in prayer and we seek G-d's will for this season.
